El presente simple se usa para hablar de la regularidad de una acción, hábitos y rutinas actuales, verdades generales, situaciones permanentes, estados y del futuro para eventos programados.  

¿Cómo se forma?

Affirmative:

I/you/we/they + infinitivo + complemento

He/she/it + verbo terminado en -s/-es + complemento

Negative:  

I/you/we/they + do not (don't) + infinitivo + complemento

He/she/it + does not (doesn't) + infinitivo + complemento

Interrogative:

Do + I/you/we/they + infinitivo + complemento

Does + he/she/it + infinitivo + complemento

Nota: un verbo en infinitivo es un verbo sin conjugación.

El presente continuo se usa para hablar de acciones ocurriendo al momento de hablar, acciones temporales en progreso, futuro cercano y hábitos molestos (generalmente acompañado de always).

¿Cómo se forma?

Affirmative:

Sujeto + verb to be (am/is/are) + gerundio

Negative:

Sujeto + verb to be + not + gerundio

Interrogative:

Verb to be + sujeto + gerundio ...?

Nota: el gerundio es el verbo con terminación -ing.
