The previous quote can have two explanations.
The first meaning we could obtain is that our perception of the world changes along with our thoughts (which could be contained in the term "ideology"). Our ideology is what dictaminates how we interpret the obtained perception of the environment and its elements. That could be represented with the next example: no matter how unfortunate the circumstances are, if the person has a positive focus then he or she will view the situation as a positive opportunity area. In other words, the world changed to fit the perspective of the person.
Furthermore, it could also mean that the role the person does can change (at a minuscule scale) the world. We behave according to a series of elements, from our upbringings to values or ideals. Some state that we react or perform toward what we want of the future or how we want the world to be. To exemplify this, we can take a hypothetic case where a person wants the world to be more advanced or have deeper acknowledge on the inner working of the human body, due to that, the person will work doing medical research; Meanwhile, somebody who might want the Earth to become a nicer or more considered place, then he or she will behave more politely or gentle.
In summary, both meanings rely on the belief that our ideas influence on the world, whether the influence our perception of it or our behaviour .
