Explicación:

Para formar una frase en pasado perfecto (past perfect) tenemos que realizar este horden:

Sujeto + Auxiliary verb(had) + el verbo en participio (el verbo que este en past participe)

Ejemplo: si el verbo es buy el verbo puesto en past participe seria bought.

Entonces para hacer las frases hacemos el orden que hemos dicho anteriormente

Primero sujeto, en este caso(en la primera frase) el sujeto es HE...

Después, hay que poner el auxiliary verb que es HAD: he had....

Y por último el verbo en past participe: si el verbo es lose(perder) en past participe es LOST: he had lost... y ponemos lo que queda / HE HAD LOST HIS PASSPORT

Si la frase es negativa hay que añadir un not después del sujeto y todo lo demás es igual.
