2- The contraction 'd can mean would or had. To tell the difference we need to look at what follows 'd: Would is followed by the bare infinitive (infinitive without to). would be, would go, etc. I'd like some tea.

3- We can use hate, like, love and prefer with an -ing form or with a to-infinitive: I hate to see food being thrown away. I love going to the cinema. I prefer listening to the news on radio than watching it on TV.
