Explicación:

Debes usar SINCE cuando quieras decir "desde". Por ejemplo: No he visto a Miguel desde el año pasado. → I haven't seen Miguel SINCE last year.

Debes usar FOR cuando quieras decir "durante". Por ejemplo: He estado en casa durante dos horas. → I have been home FOR two hours.
