The new Disney • Pixar movie is a visual delight with an entirely Mexican flavor.
Disney • Pixar decides to take a totally different story with a completely cultural and completely Mexican tradition in which a memory and tribute is paid to our dead.
Miguel is a humble boy who makes a living by balling shoes in the plaza. His great dream is to be a great musician, but this dream is stopped by his family, because it is forbidden to listen to music because a relative decided to choose music instead of his family and left. Miguel decides to demonstrate his talent in the musicians' contest in the square on November 2, but when he takes without permission the guitar of the mythical singer he longed for, a spell is performed where he reaches the world of the dead.
With a cinematographic and cultural richness "Coco" stands out for its plot and how it is used. Although its great resemblance to "The Book of Life" can be strongly criticized, this does not prevent Disney • Pixar from creating its own story in this context. With a good narrative rhythm and premises in the pure Pixar style, the plot hooks the viewer from the beginning to move him and send him a message.
