Explicación:

Cuando es más de uno, hay sustantivos que se le agrega s, es, ies, para hacerlos plural. Ejemplo:

Apple+s = Apples

Tomato+es = Tomatoes

Family (cambias la "Y" por una "i" y agregas "es".

Family = Families.

Hay sustantivos que cambian cuando son plurales, como por ejemplo:

Woman = women

Person = People

Child = Children

Si es un sustantivo: se usa "it is" = Eso es

Si es más de un sustantivo: "They are" = Ello/as son
