Quartering Act, by this law, in 1766, the British Crown settlers imposed the obligation to give shelter and food to the soldiers who arrived in the metropolis, first in barracks and public houses and then directly in their homes.It was another means by which the crown was trying to increase its control over the colonies and impose other measures such as taxes.
