Pueblo Indians are North American Indian people that live in settlements known as:  

pueblos

They have lived in the American Southwest for centuries, especially in:

Northeastern Arizona and Northwestern New Mexico.

The Spaniards had established and maintained their rule over the Pueblo Indians since.

It started when Juan de Oñate invaded and conquered the people of Pacoima California, in 1598 and had all the people turned into slaves.
