Observamos en los ejemplos la formulación de una oración en pasado simple en sus tres formas, afirmativa, negativa, e interrogativa. Dentro de la oración negativa e interrogativa, se utiliza el verbo auxiliar para formular las oraciones. Podemos observar que en la oración afirmativa el verbo está escrito en pasado, y en negativa e interrogativa está en presente, pero en si está en pasado debido al verbo auxiliar, que hace que se escriba en esa forma.
En la oración negativa se utiliza la contracción (did not = didn’t).
