religious beliefs. They did not wear clothes and live in small settlement near the
sea. Their houses were made from tree branches, dried grass and leaves to
make the roof. They slept in hammocks made from wild cotton. The Lucayan
hunt, fish, and collect fruits from the trees for food. Their crops were yam,
cassava, sweet potato and corn. They also like to eat iguanas, hutia and turtles.
Pepper pot soup was their favorite meal. They were a peaceful people.
