My weekend in Manchester
It is Sunday night and I am staying with my brother in Manchester for a few days. He is a college student. Yesterday was amazing. In the morning, we were close to the Old Trafford football stadium. There was a match between Manchester United and Manchester City and the atmosphere was incredible. But the weather was terrible! So in the afternoon, the entertainment was ... shopping! We were in Afflecks for hours. It is a huge old building with a lot of interesting little shops. It is better than a mall. There are cafes, vintage clothing stores, costumes, roller skates, vintage records, jewelry stores, and patisseries with the best cupcakes. And then at night, we were in Chinatown at a great restaurant. The food was delicious! I wasn't interested in getting up early this morning. I was so tired! In the afternoon we were in Castlefield. It is a heritage park. There is an original ancient Roman fort, the world's first industrial canal, and the oldest train station in the world. Okay, it's old stuff, but I had an amazing day! Mi fin de semana en Manchester
Es domingo por la noche y me quedaré unos días con mi hermano en Manchester. El es un estudiante universitario. Ayer fue asombroso. Por la mañana, estábamos cerca del estadio de fútbol de Old Trafford. Hubo un partido entre Manchester United y Manchester City y el ambiente fue increíble. ¡Pero el clima estaba terrible! Así que por la tarde, el entretenimiento fue ... ¡compras! Estuvimos en Afflecks durante horas. Es un edificio antiguo enorme con muchas tiendas pequeñas interesantes. Es mejor que un centro comercial. Hay cafés, tiendas de ropa vintage, disfraces, patines, discos vintage, joyerías y pastelerías con los mejores cupcakes. Y luego, por la noche, estábamos en Chinatown en un gran restaurante. ¡La comida era deliciosa! No estaba interesado en levantarme temprano esta mañana. ¡Estaba tan cansado! Por la tarde estuvimos en Castlefield. Es un parque patrimonial. Hay una antigua fortaleza romana original, el primer canal industrial del mundo y la estación de tren más antigua del mundo.
