Half of the planet’s population lives on cities and consumes 75% of the world’s resources, creating most of its pollution. This means that governments need to create effective recycling plans. In cities where recycling is successful, it is possible to recycle 95% of garbage and litter. It takes 30-40% less energy to make paper from recycled materials tan it does to make it from trees. At present, people know the importance of recycling and many countries recycle much of their waste. In the future many other cities will start recycling programs.
Water shortage
