will and be going to are two forms of the future tense. while will is used for decisions made at the time of speaking and predictions without evidence, we use be going to to talk about decisions taken with time and predictions with evidence.

will: person+will+vb in infinitive
positive:
-i don’t know where sarah is!
-don’t worry, I’ll phone her now
negative and question:
-will you help me with my hw?
-no, i won’t. you didn’t help me with mine

be going to:person+verb to be+going to
positive:
-i think next month i’m going to go on a holiday
negative:
-i’m not going to play in that football tournament, i’ve already asked my mum and she doesn’t allow me
