Visiting my grandparents

Last summer, I was really happy to have the chance to spend some time at my grandparents’. There they live is very isolated as it is a beautiful farm in the countryside, and I was looking forward to it. When I arrived at the local train station, I looked around, expecting to see my grandmother’s small red car. Instead, I saw someone waving at me. I realised it was Joe, a friend of my grandfather’s. Joe explained that he had volunteered to pick me up, as my grandparents were having problems with their car. Soon I was with my grandparents, sharing my news, like the computer course I am thinking about starting at school when I went back after the holidays. Then, my grandfather led me around the side of the house, and said, ‘Well, what do you think?’ In front of me was a beautiful pool, with steps leading into the shallow end. To be honest, I was amazed. I never thought my grandfather’s pool project shall ever be completed! I remembered that on my last visit, they had built it for at least five years! I had a wonderful time, and I’m going back again this year. In fact, this time next week I will swim in the pool, enjoying the view. I can’t wait! ​
