Vas multiplicando 1 a 1 y debes tener  en cuenta que en la multiplicación de potencias de igual base se suman los exponentes.  
        $(-2 x^{2} ) ( x^{5} ) = - 2 x^{2+5} = -2 x^{7}$
        $(-2 x^{2} )(-4 x^{2} ) = (-2)(-4) x^{2+2} = 8 x^{4}$
        $(-2 x^{2} )(3x) = (-2)(3) x^{2+1} = -6 x^{3}$
        $(-2 x^{2} )(+1)= -2 x^{2}$

1.- $(-2 x^{2} )( x^{5} -4 x^{2} +3x +1)$
$= - 2 x^{7} +8 x^{4} -6 x^{3} -2 x^{2}$

$=5 x^{7} -5 x^{5}$
