Hiram Bingham (November 19, 1875 - June 6 of 1956) (80 years) was an explorer (his name is linked to the Inca city of Machu Picchu) and policy of the United States. He was also governor of Connecticut and member of the US Senate país.Hiram Bingham was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and was the son and grandson of the first Protestant missionaries of the Kingdom of Hawaii. As a teenager he settled in the United States in order to complete their studies. He entered the Phillips Academy in Andover, in the state of Massachusetts, where he graduated in 1894. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Yale University in 1898, a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1900, and doctorate from Harvard University in 1905. He worked as a professor of history at the latter university and then at Princeton University.
