Queen Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II is the Queen of the United Kingdom and is all around the world. She was born in London and her father became the king after the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII. Her husband is Prince Philip and they have four children and eight grandchildren. She even has great-grandchildren!
She became in 1952 at the age of 25, which means that she is the longest-reigning monarch today. The monarch will be Prince Charles, her son. She has many duties and responsibilities every day, and she meets heads of states from other countries.
The Royal family is very in the United Kingdom because they have been a staple in the country for many years. A lot of tourists are to Britain to catch a glimpse of the Royal family members and to visit their castles and gardens. For some people, this family is a of Britishness, of what it means to be British.
