Practicamente was, were y did son pasados y estas son las principales características de cada uno.
Was: Primera persona singular (yo) y tercera persona singular (él, ella, eso)
Ejemplo: I was doing my homework, He was washing the dishes, She was playing with the dog, It was on the table.
Were: Segunda persona singular y plural (usted, su, suyo) y primera y tercera persona plural (nosotros, ellos)
Ejemplo: We were eating pizza, You were at the concert, They were cleaning their room.
Did: Es prácticamente el pasado de do y no se usa como verbo sino como auxiliar
Ejemplo: Did he arrive on time? Yes, he did
