THE PIG AND THE CAMEL

The camel was proud because he was tall and had an important hump; the pig because he was short and had an elegant snout. They met one day and began to brang about their respective qualities. Finally,the pig declared:" I bet you my snout that I can prove to you that it is better to be short than tall". "you are crazy", answered the Camel, "it´s hundreds of times better to be tall than short, and I´ll prove it to you, or else I´ll give you my hump".
They accepted each other´s challenge and decided to continue together on their way. After a short distance they came to a beautiful orchard completely enclosed by a fence the Camel could reach over by stretching his long neck. Soon he had a banquet on the delicious plants and fruits inside, while thepoor Pig was unable to even look at them, as the fece had no opening. The Camel then turned to him and asked: "Well, isn´t it better to be tall than short?"
The Pig lowered his head sadly and did not answer. The two continued walking, until they came to another orchard, this one enclosed by a high wall, with a small low opening at the gate. this the Pig could enter, while the Camel had to stay outside. When the Pig came out, after eating his fill of the delicious things inside, he asked: "Now, wouldn´t you rather be short?"
They thought the matter over and concluded that each one had good and useful qualities, and that they should be contented with they had good and useful qualities, and that they should be contented with what they had. So, the Camel kept his hump and the Pig his snout, and that is the way we know them today.
