Respuesta:
1) The title of the poem is "Fire and Ice"
2) The poem was written by Robert Frost.
3) The speaker is Frost himself. The first word of the poem draws our attention to the speaker's personal experience: "I."
4) He is talking about the end of the world with the elemental force of fire with the emotion of desire, and ice with hate
5) The narrator asks if the world will end in fire or ice and states that both are the same.
6) I think that he uses 'Tactile' imagery because he refers to the temperature of this symbols and what you feel with them, with the context of destruction and pain on both symbols.
7) 1. Assonance- it is repetition of vowel sounds in same line. The repetition is at different places in different words.
Example- The long sound of “o” in “I hold with those who favour fire”
2. Alliteration- alliteration is the repetition of a consonant sound at the start of two or more closely placed words.
Example- The sound of “f” in “favour fire”, “w” in “world will”
3. Imagery- Imagery is used to make readers perceive things involving their five senses. Example- “Some say the world will end in fire”
“To say that for destruction ice Is also great”
8) Symbolism: Symbolism is a use of symbols to
signify ideas and qualities, by giving them
symbolic meanings different from their literal
meanings. “Fire” is the symbol of desires and
“Ice” symbolizes hatred. Similarly, “green” and
“gold” are the symbol of beauty and
happiness.
Personification: Personification is to give
human qualities to inanimate objects. In this
poem, “Fire” and “Ice” are capable of
destruction. Therefore, the poet personifies
fire and ice by giving them a mind which is
capable of destroying almost anything.
9) Considering that the poem describes an argument over which of these forces will destroy the world, the title raises the possibility that fire and ice can coexist at the same time, maybe even in the same person.
10) The poem Fire and Ice by Robert Frost is a metaphor for human feelings of desires and hatred. Fire represents burning desires while ice on the other hand depicts ice cold hatred. It tells us about how we humans will be the end of our own race.
11) For me, the poem suggests that destruction is inevitable, maybe with the world itself or the people.
