NOTAS:

1. En este ejercicio tienes que escoger la forma afirmativa y negativa de cada verbo según el significado de cada oración. Ni siquiera necesitas saber cuáles son las estructuras del 'past simple', por que ya están escritas. Solo tienes que comprender el sentido de cada oración y elegir la forma verbal apropiada.

2. Hay un error (muy frecuente) en la segunda oración en la que el sustantivo 'instruments' debe usarse en plural.

a. 'any' + plural countable nouns / 'any' + uncountable nouns

➜ Normalmente, 'any' se usa en oraciones negativas, interrogativas y condicionales seguido de sustantivos contables plurales o de sustantivos incontables.

➜ En las oraciones negativas, 'any' se traduce al español como 'ninguno/a/os/as', como 'nada de' o directamente no se traduce.

➜ En las oraciones interrogativas y en las condicionales, 'any' se traduce como 'alguno/a/os/as', 'algo de' o directamente no se traduce.

➜ Delante de sustantivos contables singulares no se usa 'any', sino el artículo 'a'/'an'. La traducción es 'un/una', aunque en ocasiones, también podría decirse 'algún/alguna' en las oraciones afirmativas y 'ningún/ninguna' en las negativas.

Ejemplos:

b. En las oraciones afirmativas se usa 'any' con sustantivos contables singulares, pero con el significado de 'cualquier/cualquiera'.

Ejemplos:

➺ Puedes elegir cualquier libro.

• [̲̅+̲̅] If you can't buy that phone, buy any phone. ['any' + singular countable noun]
