HOW TO STAY CALM DURING A CRISIS
Start by realizing that you are experiencing a crisis. Then you can identify the problem and plan how to
handle it. Don't try working on the problem alone. You need to get help from those around you - your
family and good friends. If you open up to them, they'll respect your honesty and stand by you and
assist you, even if you need to go and see a professional. Sometimes one can mistake the symptoms
of a crisis for the real thing and miss the deep-seated causes of the problem.
Usually a crisis does not warn you when it strikes or ends and things will surely be different when it is
over. As a result you should be able to anticipate the possible outcomes when the dust has settled. It
can also be an opportunity for change. Sometimes a drastic adjustment is necessary, and it takes a
crisis to make you realize this.
Don't lose your cool to avoid further damage. Since you're at the centre of things you will have to
decide how you're going to handle yourself. Usually it's best to just be honest about it from the
beginning. View your crisis as an opportunity to grow and focus on a positive outcome. You will surely
become more aware of your shortcomings, so you can work on improving them
