Podemos agregar question tags como isn't it?, can you? or didn't they? (¿no es así? , puedes? o no?) a una afirmación para convertirla en una pregunta.

Las question tags son más comunes al hablar que al escribir. las A menudo las usamos cuando esperamos que el oyente esté de acuerdo con nuestra declaración.

Cuando la declaración es positiva, usamos una etiqueta de pregunta negativa.

• he's a doctor, isn't he?

Si la declaración es negativa, usamos una etiqueta de pregunta positiva.

• She isn't here, is she?

¿Cómo usar las question tags?

Si hay un verbo auxiliar en la declaración, lo usamos para formar la etiqueta de pregunta.

• Your parents have died, haven't they?

A veces no hay verbo auxiliar y si el verbo está en presente simple o pasado simple y es positivo usamos don't , does't o didn't

• The mouse eats cheese, doesn´t it?

El verbo en el enunciado es el verbo to be en presente simple o pasado simple, usamos to be para hacer la etiqueta de pregunta:

• We were happy, weren´t we?

Cuando el verbo en el enunciado es un verbo modal, uamos el verbo modal para hacer la etiqueta de pregunta:

• Can you hear me, can't you?

Si el verbo principal o el verbo auxiliar en la declaración es am , la question tag positiva es am I?  pero la  negativa suele ser aren´t I? :
