Rice pudding
Ingredients:1/2 pound white rice long grain1 1/2 cup water8 cups low-fat milk at 2% (instead of cow's milk, you can use only evaporated milk or mix half and half)1 slice of cinnamon1 1/2 cup of sugar1/2 teaspoon salt1 lemon peelCinnamon powder
Preparation:Okay, now let's start cooking my rice-and-milk recipe. First, clean the rice well and wash it. Leave in water for half an hour then drain. Leave it on medium heat and when it has dried, gradually add the milk and cinnamon slice. Move it occasionally.When the rice is soft, add the sugar, salt and lemon peel. Cook on medium low heat for 15 or 20 minutes more (depending on whether you like it more or less thick). Serve and sprinkle with a little powdered cinnamon, this way you will give it a rich little flavor and it will look more beautiful. You can enjoy this warm dessert, but I love cold from the refrigerator.
