Lots of tourists come to Colombia every year, and we asked one of them why they’ve
chosen to come to our country on holiday. Ariana is from California in the USA and this is what she had to say:
Hey, everybody! I came to Colombia because I wanted to learn more about its culture and
people. I’ve been here now for two weeks and I’ve fallen in love with this amazing country! I’ve eaten some wonderful food, for example, sancocho and coconut rice pudding, which is the most delicious dessert I’ve ever tasted! But I haven’t spent all my time eating, I’ve also done lots of other things! I’ve danced to some amazing Colombian rhythms, for example, the cumbia and the vallenato, and I’ve been to some great rock concerts, too. I’ve also visited a lot of different historical monuments and museums and I’ve learned a lot about Colombian history. I’ve had a brilliant time and the most important thing is that I’ve met some wonderful people.
The Colombian people are all so friendly!
