The research took place at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC)
on Mexicali, Tijuana and Ensenada campus, in México. This work was
divided in two studies based on a mixed research and development
methodology with a qualitative/quantitative approach, for each. The first
study´s research question was: How much do teachers use collaborative
work while teaching e-learning classes? Which are the virtual tools, virtual
activities and virtual strategies that teachers use in their virtual classes?. In
order to answer these questions a stratified non statistical sample was
design, selecting 24 professors. The sample was divided into three blocks,
one for professors with less than 5 years seniority, another for professors
with seniority between 5 and 10 years and the third one for professor with
more than 10 year seniority. Other divisions for the stratum used were; for
example: subjects, study area and number of students the teacher gave
