JESUIT MISSIONS OF CHIQUITOS The Jesuit Missions of Bolivia are mission towns founded by the Society of Jesus to evangelize the region. There are many reductions: San Francisco Javier, Concepción, Santa Ana, San Miguel, San Rafael, and San Jose that have remained intact. For this reason, UNESCO has considered them as a World Heritage Site since 1990 There are two most beautiful and accessible tours to this place, Jesuit Missions Churches San Javier and Concepcion, Concepcion's church is considered as the jewel of the region. There is a mestizo baroque style in the constructions stand out and there is also a habit to use natural materials from the area such as wood; native people use in the pulpits the carved columns, and the gold-plated altars.
