Jack is at the grocery store. He buys $42.87 in groceries, and groceries are not taxed in his state. He also buys $33.17 in other items, which are taxed at 9.1% (not yet applied). How much is his total?

mcruzmorales12: the answer is 79.06... explication: the problem say that the cost of the groceries are not taxed, so we only have to get the tax percent of the other items's price. calculation of the tax: 33.17 x 0.091= 3.02,
3.02 + 33.17= 36.19
mcruzmorales12: 36.19 + 42.87= 79.06
