It was Thursday afternoon. I
(drive) on Main Street when, all of a sudden, a dog jumped in front of my car. As soon as I

When I got out of the car, I  saw the dog's owner. The owner  was strolling down the street and holding the dog's leash in his hands. When he came up to me, I  told him what happened. He was very upset. When he  heard my story, he  decided to keep his dog on the leash at all times. When I got home that evening, I hugged my dog, put her on her leash, and  took her for a walk.​
