It was the trip of a lifetime. We (1) (set off) from the first hostel early in the morning to walk the first stage on a path which went up and down mountains for about 25km. It was a beautiful day, the sun (2) (shine) and the countryside (3) (look) beautiful. We went up a steep hill and soon we (4) (arrive) at a small bridge over a river.
