Los verbos regulares se forman utilizando el verbo y agregándole "ed" al final.

Sin embargo hay que tener en cuenta ciertas reglas, si el verbo es de una sola sílaba y su última letra es una consonante se debe duplicar, si termina en "y" se cambia por una "i" y se le agrega el "ed". Y por último si su ultima letra es "e" solo se debe agregar una "d"

Por otro lado los verbos irregulares no cumplen ninguna regla  para formar el pasado por lo tanto hay que aprendérselos de memoria.
