III. Read the following text. Underline with blue the opening expression (Expression to begin),
with red the expression to contrast similarities and differences, with purple a connector

First of all, both are traditions celebrated once a year. Day of the Dead is not the
"Mexican Halloween" like it is sometimes mistaken to be because of the timing of the
year. Even though Halloween is a spooky celebration, kids seem very happy. The Day of
the Dead is a celebration where people celebrate death; However, people are not sad
during this day. Thus, participants believe that their dead relatives are actually present
during the festivities. People use decorations in both celebrations but the materials used
are different. In conclusion, people have their own way to celebrate their traditions and
