Explicación:

Science fiction is a mirror for what we can become and what we fear. From this perspective, science fiction promotes the understanding of historical and sociological processes, since it allows us to examine our culture by contrasting it with others.

Robert Heinlein, author of Starship Troopers, considers it to be "a realistic speculation about possible future events, based solidly on adequate knowledge of the real world, past and present, and an understanding of the nature and meaning of the scientific method." Rod Serling, the writer of The Twilight Zone, refers to science fiction by making a parallel with fantasy: “Fantasy is the impossible made probable. Science fiction is the improbable made possible.”
