Informative text is one that provides knowledge about an event, issue or topic. The main function of an informative text is, as its name indicates, to inform, to make something known. Informative texts are characterized by describing real situations, with a simple and concise language, and a vocabulary appropriate to the theme of the text, so that all types of readers can perceive what is exposed. Informative texts are generally structured in three parts, with an introduction, development and conclusion.
There are different types of informational texts. To achieve understanding of the information, both texts use examples, references or graphic elements that facilitate the reader's understanding.
