Sarah’s love story

One Saturday, Sarah woke up early. She had breakfast with her family, she had a quick shower, and left home to work.

On her way to the office, a handsome man asked her if she knew where the closest bank was. She told him where it was. The man asked her if she could go with him to the bank and to have a cup of coffee afterwards. She said yes.

Sarah and the man had coffee. After that, they went to the cinema and then to a disco. They danced for 3 hours. Sarah didn’t ask the man’s name, she didn’t add him on Facebook or Whatsapp. At midnight, the man said he had to go to the bathroom, but he didn’t come back.

Sarah fell in love with the man; she wanted the man to come back. She waited for him for 5 years, but he didn’t come back. Sarah had lost all hope about love. She prayed to God frequently.

One day, Sarah was waiting in line in the bank when a man came up to her and asked her what time it was. His voice sounded familiar, it was the same man; his name was Joseph.

They married 8 months later and had 2 beautiful daughters.

Historia corta en ingles (verbos en tiempo pasado simple y perfecto)

Once upon a time there was a woodcutter who one day realized that his axe had been stolen.

Near his house, the neighbor  who had warned him a few days before what happened, that this tool was highly sought by thieves.

The surprised woodcutter, with tears in his eyes, told his neighbor that he appreciated his warnings and that it seemed strange to him that he had almost always been right in his premonitions or ability to see the future.

Suddenly, the woodcutter became suspicious and thought that maybe it was the neighbor who had stolen the axe. In fact, now that he thought about it his smile had always been wry and mocking, he even had a strange look on his face that he had only seen on people of ill repute and accused of being thieves.

All these suspicions had begun to be verified when the woodcutter found out that his neighbor had already been in jail for robbery and that fact had convinced him that he was a person of no trust and that he could definitely be the culprit of the theft. .

One day the woodcutter walking through the forest stumbled upon something half buried in the ground and from the way he looked at the place, that object had probably been buried recently.

In fact when the woodcutter unearthed the object he realized that he had found the axe. The woodcutter returned home again with the axe, but he did not repent of his suspicions against the neighbor, and when he saw him again the expression on his face and his smile had reminded him of a more hypocritical of the men.
