When we use simple present?

We use the simple present tense when an action is happening right now, or when it happens regularly (or unceasingly, which is why it's sometimes called present indefinite).

How do you make a simple present question?

We use do and does to make questions with the present simple. We use does for the third person singular (she/he/it) and do for the others. We use do and does with question words like where, what and when

Why do we need simple present?

1We use the present simple when something is generally or always true.

2Similarly, we need to use this tense for a situation that we think is more or less permanent.

3 We can also use the present simple for short actions that are happening now. The actions are so short that they are finished almost as soon as you've said the sentence. This is often used with sports commentary.
