The play takes place in Denmark, and deals with the events after the murder of King Hamlet (father of Prince Hamlet), at the hands of his brother Claudius. The ghost of the king asks his son to take revenge on his murderer. Since his uncle Claudio poured poison into his ear so he could marry the queen and be the king, then he goes to talk to his mother and sees that someone is behind the curtain and thinks it's Claudio but in reality it is sticking around and he stabbed to death, and asking his son to avenge his death. Then Laertes (the son of Poloneus) and Hamlet are seen in a duel of swords but what Hamlet does not count is that Claudio with the Laertes poisoned one of the swords that they were going to use and if that did not work they poisoned a glass of wine with poison. When they are dueling, Laertes gives Hamlet a small cut with the poisoned sword. But I don't die, then in an oversight they exchange swords and Hamlet stabs Laertes and he dies immediately. Laertes, dying, confesses that the idea of the poisoned cup is Claudius's, and Hamlet, in pain, runs and forces the king to drink wine with the poisoned cup to climb up, fulfilling his father's request. Hamlet, before dying, asks Horace to tell the story. truth about what happened and to declare Prince Fortin bras heir to the throne.
