Explicación:

Simplemente hay que elegir entre were/weren't o was/wasn't dependiendo de si al objeto/persona al que se refieren es plural o singular. Como por ejemplo "most londoners" es plural se tiene que usar were/weren't, y "time" es singular por lo que se tiene que usar was/wasn't.

No puedo responder en ningún caso si se tiene que usar el negativo o positivo, ya que necesitaría el contexto del texto para hacer eso.
