➤ PAST CONTINUOUS/PROGRESSIVE
Para formar el 'past continuous/progressive' se deben usar los auxiliares 'WAS'/'WERE' y la forma '-ING' del verbo principal.
Hay que elegir el auxiliar según el sujeto de la oración:
• Sujeto: I, he, she, it ---------------- Auxiliar: WAS
• Sujeto: we, you, they ------------- Auxiliar: WERE
En las oraciones negativas también se pueden usar las contracciones negativas, que son la fusión del auxiliar 'WAS'/'WERE' y el adverbio 'NOT':
• Sujeto: I, he, she, it ---------------- Contracción: WASN'T
• Sujeto: we, you, they ------------- Contracción: WEREN'T
