*La oración sin el don't sería: "Si trabajas más duro, reprobarás el examen."

Pero con el don't sería: "Si no trabajas más duro, reprobarás el examen."

En mi opinión le encuentro más sentido agregando don't pero como en la oración para ordenar no estaba la palabra, porque no la pusieron o se olvidaron, elige la que quieras.
