Armando Sequera (Caracas, March 8, 1953) is a Venezuelan writer, journalist and audiovisual producer. Resides in [Valencia (Venezuela) | Valencia], Carabobo state. Much of his works have been for children and young people. He has won seventeen literary awards, four of them international: Casa de las Américas Award (1979), IBBY Honor Diploma (1995), Canta Pirulero Latin American Biennial (1996) and “Garzón Céspedes” International Narrative Microfiction Award (2012). He is the author, among other titles, of Avoiding Bad Steps for People (1982), (2001) and (2005). In 2006 he was nominated for the [Astrid Lindgren] Award for the One-Handed Book.
