1 Health education is the process through which people learn about their health and, more specifically, how to improve it. Many different people have health education, and there are many different ways health education is delivered, in various models of behavior change.
Health education is of critical importance to improve the health of communities and individuals.
2 Interdisciplinary study of human populations. Study of the social characteristics of the population and its development over time. The data for study are the following, among others: the analysis of the population by age, family situation, ethnic groups, economic activities and marital status; the modifications of the population, births, marriages and deaths; life expectancy, statistics on migration, its social and economic effects; crime degree; education levels and other economic and social statistics.
3 The relationship between education and the environment is not a new thing, its novelty is that the environment becomes the educational medium, content or didactic resource, but also its main purpose and objective. In this way, although its origins are ancient, environmental education as we understand it today is a concept that emerged in the late seventies.
Furthermore, environmental education enjoys some institutional recognition. Internationally, for example, it is the United Nations Organization through organizations such as UNESCO and UNEP, which promotes environmental education programs and studies. Outside the international arena, it is the entities, non-governmental organizations or educators that can promote environmental education programs.
