Contractions in the Present Perfect Simple

In general, we contract the subject (the person or thing that has done the action) and form of have:
I have > I’ve – I’ve used those images before.
He has > He’s / She has > She’s / It has > It’s – He’s already had the surgery.
We have > We’ve / You have > You’ve / They are > They’ve – We’ve just gotten home.
You may have noticed that the 3rd person singular (he, she, it) contractions look like those in the present progressive. You can tell them apart by the use of the V3 and from the context of the sentence: he is > He’s eating now. / he has > He’s eaten dinner already

TENER CUIDADO DE NO CONFUNDIR EL PRESENTE PERFECTO, FORMA CORTA; CON EL PRESENTE PROGRESIVO. (Ver los ejemplos de color rojo)

Now Linda and Grandmother are outside. Linda has just dropped some seeds on the ground to feed the birds. The birds have not come yet.

Recently, Grandmother has moved in with Linda's family. She now enjoys living with them.

Grandmother has already sat down on the bench. She also wears an apron. She has just finished cooking.

Grandmother and Linda wait for the birds. They have seen birds in the yard before. Grandmother has always liked to watch the birds. Linda has always liked to feed them.
