While they were out, a girl named Goldilocks walked through the trees and found her house. She knocked on the door and, as there was no answer, she opened it and entered.

In front of her was a table with three chairs, a large chair, a medium chair, and a small chair. On the table were three bowls of oatmeal, a large bowl, a medium bowl, and a small bowl, and three spoons.

Goldilocks was hungry and the porridge looked good, so she sat on the large chair, took the large spoon, and sampled some of the porridge from the large bowl.

But the chair was very big and very hard, the spoon was heavy, and the porridge was too hot. Goldilocks jumped up quickly and approached the medium-sized chair.

But this chair was too soft, and when she tasted the porridge from the medium bowl, she was too cold. So she walked over to the chair, she took the smaller spoon and tasted some of the porridge from the tiny bowl.

This time it was neither too hot nor too cold. It was so good and so delicious that she ate it all. But it was too heavy for the small chair and it broke into pieces under the weight of it.

Then Goldilocks went upstairs, where she found three beds. There was a large large bed, a medium size bed and a small small bed. By now she was feeling pretty tired. so she got on the big bed and lay down.

The large bed was too hard and too big. She then she tried the medium size bed, but it was too soft. so she got on the tiny bed. It was neither too hard nor too soft. In fact, she felt perfect, cozy, and warm. and at no time did Goldilocks sleep soundly.

Before long, the three bears returned from their walk in the woods. They saw immediately the door of her house was pushed open and Father Bear looked around. then he roared in a hoarse voice. Mother Bear said in a soft and calm voice.

"Someone has sat in my chair.

Then Teddy Bear said in a small squeaky baby voice.

"Someone has been sitting on my chair and smashed it!"

Then Father Bear looked at the bowl of oatmeal and saw the spoon inside it and said in his great hoarse voice:

"SOMEONE HAS BEEN EATING MY PORRIDGE"

Then mother bear saw that her bowl had a spoon in it and said in her calm voice.

"Someone has been eating my porridge"

Little Bear looked at his bowl of oatmeal and said in his squeaky little baby voice:

"Someone has eaten my porridges and has eaten them all"

Then the three bears went upstairs, and Father Bear saw immediately that his bed was untidy, and he said in his great hoarse voice:

"SOMEONE HAS BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED!"

Mama Bear saw that her bed also had the sheets turned back, and she said in her calm and gentle voice:

"Someone has been sleeping in my bed!"

Then Little Bear looked at his bed and said in his squeaky baby voice:

"Someone is sleeping in my bed!

He screamed so loud Goldilocks woke with a start. She jumped out of bed and ran away from her, down the stairs and into the woods. And the three bears never saw her again.
