that y this tienen el mismo significado y su uso depende de la cercanía del sujeto al objeto. Por ejemplo, si tenés una manzana en la mano y en una mesa alejada hay un limón, decís: “this is an apple, that is a lemon”. Con these y those pasa lo mismo de la cercanía y son la versión plural de this y that.
