Se trata del sufijo que existe en inglés para aumentar de valor alguna cualidad, como lo es: bueno, malo, alto, bajo. En inglés se utiliza el sufijo -er únicamente en adjetivos monosílabos: good, bad, cool, high, short, tall, entre otros. Para los adjetivos no monosílabos, se utiliza la palabra more antes del adjetivo.

Fórmula para construir oraciones en comparativo:

  • Para oraciones positivas o negativas: Pronombre personal + verbo to-be + ("adj con sufijo "-er" - "more + adj").
  • Para oraciones interrogativas: Wh + verbo to-be + pronombre personal  + ("adj con sufijo "-er" - "more + adj").
