Hay muchos verbos irregulares en inglés. No hay una forma establecida para formarlos, así que tendrías que aprendertelos de memoria :(

Para oraciones negativas se usa el verbo auxiliar "to do" en pasado, es decir, "did". En estos casos, como el verbo auxiliar "did" indica pasado, el verbo principal de la oración queda en infinitivo.

En las oraciones interrogativas pasa lo mismo. En este caso, la estructura de la oración queda así:
