La pregunta pide que completes las oraciones usando el pasado progresivo. O sea, la formulación para este modo del verbo es diferente, ya sea en positivo, negativo o pregunta:
Positivo: Pronombre + was/were + verbo (ing)
Negativo: Pronombre + wasn't (was not)/weren't (were not) + verbo (ing)
Pregunta: was/were + pronombre + verbo(ing) + ?
Lo que dice "verbo(ing)" significa que a cualquier verbo se le añade "ing" al final. Por ejemplo: do → doing - make → making - use → using
