el was solamente se utiliza con he,I,she,it ( el was traduce estaba o era )
he was in the park - i was a fireman , she was killing.
tambien el was se utiliza para el pasado continuo
ej: i was walking in the street with my friends
she was eating a donkey in the restaurant.

el were se utliza on we,they, you ( el were traduce estaba o era, recuerda que es verbo to be )
you were a hitman - they were thieves - we were reading a book
tambien lo puedes utilizar para el pasado continuo...

Mira:
El "Was" se utiliza para pronombres singulares como I , He , She , You
Ejemplo : " I was in the park with my friends yesterday"
" Yo estuve en el parque con mis amigos ayer"
El "Were" se utiliza para plural como We , They y You
Ejemplo: " We were in Cartagena"
                "Nosotros estuvimos en Carrtagena"

SDARK: Gracias
ladysanchez1: no hay de que
